Sie will sich einen ruhigen Tag in Bishop machen, f\u00fcr einen Trip zu Mono Lake ist es ihr zu kalt. Am Einkaufszentrum kann ich schnell volltanken, wer wei\u00df was heute auf mich wartet &#8211; besser ist das! Hier kann ich ausnahmsweise mal wieder problemlos mit der Kreditkarte direkt an der Zapfs\u00e4ule bezahlen. Einfach kurz die Karte in den Kartenleser stecken, dann schnell herausziehen, kurz warten, die Sorte w\u00e4hlen und los geht es. Hier kostet die Gallone 4.159$. Gestern haben wir sogar f\u00fcr \u00fcber 5$ getankt. Der Sprit ist hier im letzten Jahr wirklich sehr viel teurer geworden.<\/p>\n<p>Es geht los, der Himmel im Norden sieht gar nicht gut aus. Und dieser Eindruck wird auch nicht tr\u00fcgen! Als ich etwa 90 Minuten sp\u00e4ter am Mono Lake eintreffe habe ich ein paar echt schwierige Kilometer hinter mir. Zwischendurch geht es durch krassen Schneematsch, sp\u00e4ter f\u00e4hrt ein R\u00e4umfahrzeug vor mir her. Es schneit wie verr\u00fcckt, der See ist kaum zu sehen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/anscharius.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/03\/dscn2661.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2891\" title=\"DSCN2661\" src=\"http:\/\/anscharius.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/03\/dscn2661.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"590\" height=\"443\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/anscharius.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/03\/dscn2667.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2892\" title=\"DSCN2667\" src=\"http:\/\/anscharius.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/03\/dscn2667.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"590\" height=\"443\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ich fahre mal kurz hinter Lee Vining zum See hinunter, das Wasser ist kaum zu sehen. Wie dem auch sei, nach meinem kleinen Video fahre ich mal zum alten Friedhof &#8211; Mono Cemetery hei\u00dft das hier. Im Internet habe ich ein paar Fotos in tiefem Schnee gesehen die etwas besonderes hatten.\u00a0Als ich dort eintreffe ist es aber alles nur nass und matschig. Der Schnee bleibt nicht liegen. Vorn links auf dem Friedhofsgel\u00e4nde liegt ein krasses &#8222;Werkzeug&#8220;. Es ist ein Art Schablone die sich der Totengr\u00e4ber zusammen geschwei\u00dft hat. Sie wird wohl verwendet, damit die W\u00e4nde der Gr\u00e4ber w\u00e4hrend des Ausschachten nicht zusammen rutschen. Sogar eine kleine Treppe hat man dort hinein geschwei\u00dft. Drau\u00dfen sind es 0\u00b0C und es weht ein m\u00f6rderischer Wind. Bei meiner Abreise in Bishop hatten wir noch etwa 17\u00b0C, unterwegs zeigte das Thermometer kurzzeitig -3\u00b0C!! Wenn man bedenkt, dass wir vorgestern bei 25\u00b0C angekommen sind, das ist schon krass. Ich fahre noch einmal zum See hinunter. Nun kann ich sogar ein paar Fotos machen. Man sieht zwar den Horizont nicht, aber irgendwie hat dieses verschneite Uferlandschaft ihre ganz eigenen Reiz. Beim Versuch mit den den &#8222;Tufas&#8220; zu n\u00e4hern rutsche ich immer wieder aus, der gesamte Uferbereich ist v\u00f6llig aufgeweicht. Hier sind die Tufas sowieso viel sch\u00f6ner. Danach bin ich so durchgefroren, dass ich mich auf den R\u00fcckweg mache. Oben an der Stra\u00dfe zeigt mir das Navi, dass diese Stra\u00dfe mit der Nummer 120 im Osten auf den Highway 6 rifft, das w\u00e4re vielleicht ein sch\u00f6ner Rundweg, mal eine andere Strecke. Es geht los, aber bereits nach ein paar hundert Metern ist auch diese Stra\u00dfe geschlossen. Ich kehre um und fahre mal in Richtung June Lake.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/anscharius.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/03\/dsc_0046.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2872\" title=\"DSC_0046\" src=\"http:\/\/anscharius.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/03\/dsc_0046.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"590\" height=\"392\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dort angekommen bin ich \u00fcberrascht wie viele Motels es hier gibt und dass sie sogar ge\u00f6ffnet haben. Es sieht so aus, als w\u00fcrden hier eine Menge Leute zum Fischen hinkommen. Auf dem Navi kann ich drei Seen sehen, gut gelaunt geht es vom June Lake in Richtung Silverlake. Doch auch diese Stra\u00dfe ist dann irgendwann gesperrt. Es ist frustrierend, wir sind hier in Nevada definitiv 2-3 Monate zu fr\u00fch.<\/p>\n<p>Nach einem kleinen Schlenker mache ich mich dann auf den R\u00fcckweg nach Bishop. Dort treffe ich etwa um 17h ein. Es wird langsam dunkel. Und die Entscheidung zur\u00fcck zu fahren war sicher nicht verkehrt, denn einen sch\u00f6nen Abendhimmel gibt es heute nicht, es wird einfach dunkel.<\/p>\n<p>Trotzdem war Tag sehr sch\u00f6n, es muss ja auch mal regnen. Eigentlich wollten wir hier noch einen Tag verl\u00e4ngern, aber so wie es aussieht, werden wir morgen weiter in Richtung Las Vegas fahren.
